This video took a few days to complete. First I made the marinade (listed below), then day and a half later I cooked it up!
2 strips on the weber kettle using the snake method – keeping it at a nice 225-250 degrees, the other 2 strips in the oven at 400 degrees.
Char Siu marinade ingredients:
– 4 cubes red bean curd
– 4 Tbsp hoisin sauce
– 4 Tbsp soy sauce
– 4 Tbsp chinese cooking rice wine
– 2 Tsp sesame oil
– 4 Tbsp honey
– 2 Tbsp Chinese 5 spice
– 4 Cloves garlic
